SECTION II

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Conventional lithium-ion batteries suffer from limitations associated with thermal runaway, electrolyte degradation, limited cycle life, and safety hazards during high-current charging operations. Existing portable energy systems additionally encounter restrictions in volumetric energy density and charging efficiency.

Hydrogen-based energy storage systems have demonstrated significant theoretical energy density advantages; however, practical implementation in compact consumer electronics has historically been constrained by pressure management, storage stability, and miniaturization challenges.

QATT HYDROGEN PIN TO-GO — INTERNAL POWER MODULE ILLUSTRATION

This type of fuel cell is non-bulging, non-tearing, and adapts to temperature-dependent expansion with a new insulation technology.

STATEMENT OF NEED

There exists a need for a compact, solid-state hydrogen hybrid battery capable of:

  1. 1/ Increasing energy density;

  2. 2/ Reducing thermal runaway risks;

  3. 3/ Enabling rapid charging;

  4. 4/ Improving operational lifespan;

  5. 5/ Maintaining compatibility with existing electronic device dimensions; and

  6. 6/ Providing intelligent battery management and predictive safety monitoring.

The present invention addresses these limitations through a multi-layer hybrid hydrogen-solid state architecture.
